At Evara Health, you'll gain comprehensive, hands-on experience across outpatient, inpatient, and community settings while caring for diverse patient populations throughout Tampa Bay. As a Teaching Health Center based in a Federally Qualified Health Center, our three-year Family Medicine Residency combines exceptional clinical training, personalized mentorship, and innovative learning opportunities to prepare you for a meaningful career in family medicine.

"I needed to see a doctor & had just lost my insurance. I went to 5 different places (walk ins) that were kind. But, they couldn't help me. One receptionist told me about Evara. By the time I walked in I was exhausted and never thought I'd see a doctor. But, it was just the opposite at Evara. I can't speak highly enough about every single employee. From the woman at the front desk to the doctors who saw me. Everyone was kind and helpful. If you don't have insurance, make sure to bring in your W2/tax return, pay stub or something that shows you might qualify for their program. How do I apply to the Evara Health Family Medicine Residency Program?

Applications are accepted exclusively through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®). Evara Health participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and applicants must submit all required application materials through ERAS before the program's deadlines.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Applicants must graduate from an accredited medical school, meet Florida resident licensing requirements, have passing USMLE or COMLEX scores, demonstrate English proficiency, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that Evara Health does not sponsor visas.

What makes the Evara Health Residency Program unique?

Residents gain extensive experience in community-based Family Medicine through a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), with diverse clinical training across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, obstetric, emergency, and specialty care settings. The program also offers opportunities in Lifestyle Medicine and Osteopathic Recognition.

What salary and benefits do residents receive?

Residents receive competitive salaries that increase each year of training, along with comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, CME and licensing allowances, professional membership dues, and additional educational support throughout the program.

Where do residents train?

Residents rotate through Evara Health's Family Health Centers and several respected clinical partners throughout the Tampa Bay region, providing exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and healthcare environments.
